Kaido House — Jun Imai's workshop, at 1:64
Jun Imai shaped the Japanese side of Hot Wheels for years and left in 2018 to build his own brand in Los Angeles. Since 2021 Kaido House has tied together JDM culture, custom design, art, apparel and full-size car projects — and has its 1:64 models built by Mini GT.
What makes a Kaido House model
A Kaido House model is not a production car in miniature, it is a build: flared arches, a lowered stance, a livery of its own. The same body comes back in new designs, counted as V1, V2, V3, with the occasional rare chase version. Datsun 510, Nissan Skyline KPGC10 and R34, Honda Civic EF and NSX, Chevrolet Silverado — those are the regulars.
