The man who changed the course of history!
Napoleon Bonaparte is one of the most fascinating figures in European history - a brilliant strategist, reformer and creator of a modern army. As Emperor of the French, he conquered a significant part of the continent and spread new ideas. His campaigns are not only masters of tactics, but also stories of ambition, determination and dramatic twists of fate.
The Battle of Borodino depicted in this set was one of the key moments of his Russian campaign and at the same time the beginning of the end of the great march to the east.
The battle that paved Napoleon's way to Moscow!
In September 1812, one of the bloodiest battles of the Franco-Russian War took place in the shadow of fires and under the thunder of cannons: the Battle of Borodino. Two mighty armies faced each other: over 120,000 soldiers
Napoleon and 135,000 Russians under the command of Mikhail Kutuzov.
Although the French won a tactical victory, they did not exploit their superiority. Napoleon refrained from sending the elite unit of the Imperial Guard into battle for fear of losing their most valuable reserves. As a result, the Russian army was able to retreat and Napoleon, although he conquered Moscow, did not achieve the decisive objective of the campaign.
Borodino became a symbol of determination and sacrifice. The losses on both sides were devastating: up to 85,000 dead and wounded. This battle, although strategically undecided, is forever engraved in the history of Europe and in the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.
Advantages of the set "Napoleon - Battle of Moscow":
Unique Napoleon figure on horseback - the centerpiece of the set is a unique figure of Napoleon Bonaparte in his characteristic riding pose, perfectly reproducing the figure of the general during the battle. The Emperor of the French, founder of modern campaigns and reformer of Europe, is a legend whose presence gives this set a unique collector's value.
New elements - the Napoleon figure features completely new elements specially developed for the "Napoleonic Wars" series. In this set, these include Napoleon's hat, epaulettes, cape, telescope and high-quality new prints that faithfully reproduce the appearance of clothing elements from the period.
145 high-quality bricks - each element of the set has been designed with great attention to detail and precision. The bricks are robust and fit together perfectly. For this set, we have created a 3D scene that combines a stone diorama with a background in the form of a historical painting in a decorative frame. This is how we unite art, history and model making with stones.
Mini diorama with a printed image of the Battle of Moscow - the set includes a realistically recreated background with a reproduction of a painting depicting a scene from the Battle of Borodino. It is a painting by Louis-François Lejeune, who took part directly in this battle as Marshal Berthier's aide-de-camp. The richness of detail and the fact that the work was painted by a direct eyewitness of the events depicted increase its historical value and were the main reasons for choosing this painting as the background for the diorama.
It is not just a decoration, but also a piece of history that makes the atmosphere of those days tangible and conveys what the battlefield looked like in September 1812 at the gates of Moscow.
Collector's plaque - An elegant plaque with the title of the work, the date of the battle and the author's name attached to the base of the reproduction frame. This adds educational and decorative value to the set and looks great in a collector's display case or school library.
Illustrated step-by-step instructions - The set includes clear, full-color instructions that guide you step-by-step through the assembly process. So both young history buffs and adult fans of the Napoleonic era can enjoy the build without frustration and with great satisfaction.
Durable prints on the elements - All details, decorations and equipment are high quality printed; no stickers are used. This makes the elements abrasion-resistant and perfect for play and long-term display.
